Fake New

 Fake new is the latest dance-theater work by Dana Ruttenberg, in collaboration with Ofir Yannai and Shmuel Halfon.

In an era of illusions, where nothing is quite what it seems, the act of performing becomes a space of both exposure and concealment - as real as it is fake. Through a scrambled jigsaw of words and movements, identities and names, "Fake New" unfolds as a web of references: a playful and critical take on iconic choreographies, constantly shifting between homage and riddle.

The work premiered as part of IntimaDance Festival at Tmuna theater.
